Right in the heart of Leeds, the Up & Running store hosts one of the city’s biggest and friendliest free run clubs – the Social Run Group (SRG).
Every Wednesday at 6pm, runners of all levels gather at the Up & Running store on Boar Lane for an easy-going 5–7km social run around the city. The vibe is light, chatty, and open – no race-pace pressure, just a chance to move, connect, and wind down midweek with a crew that celebrates progress over performance.
Guided by store leaders and supported by Up & Running’s expert team, SRG Leeds Central brings together everyone from first-timers to marathon regulars. Routes change weekly – think canal paths, city streets, or loops out towards the river – keeping it fresh and accessible for all. It’s a free, welcoming way to add consistency to your week, meet fellow run lovers, and enjoy running without pressure. A big bonus of this run club being associated to a running store is there’s regular collabs with brands, presenting an opportunity to try the latest run kit before anybody else.
