Hyde Park Harriers: Leeds’ Friendliest Run Crew

Hyde Park Harriers is where Leeds’ running community comes together, with something for all abilities. An inclusive run club built on miles, motivation, and a shared loved for running, in all its forms. Whether you’re taking on your first 5km or chasing a marathon PB, this crew makes the journey social, supportive, and seriously fun.

The club meets twice per week – on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Tuesdays are the main club night, where runners set off in multiple pace groups – from steady 5km runners (around 35 minutes +) to sub-40m 10km regulars – so you’ll always find your rhythm and your people. Hook up at 7pm, at the concrete steps off Finsbury Road, near The Edge (University of Leeds campus).

Thursdays bring something different: interval training, hill sessions, or track workouts, depending on the season. Coached leaders guide the sessions to help you build strength and confidence, whatever your starting point.

But Hyde Park Harriers is more than just a running club. It’s a community. They host #RunAndTalk events for mental wellbeing, take part in local and national races, and support one another every step of the way. You’ll often find members grabbing a drink or coffee post-run, celebrating achievements big and small.

New to the club? Full details about how to register before your first session can be found via the link below – it’s free to try.

At Hyde Park Harriers is about more than running. Come for the miles, stay for the mates, and discover why this Leeds crew has become one of the most welcoming (and biggest) run communities in the city.
