Run The Lanes: Social Runs, Community & Collabs

Community 💛Good deeds 🦸High energy ⚡Pastries 🥐Social 💬

Run The Lanes proves running together can be double the fun.

A Brighton staple with soul, its community has grown from humble beginnings to 100-plus runners hitting the pavement together every Thursday.

Meeting each week at 6pm at FMG Project in central Brighton, runners of all abilities lace up for a relaxed social 5km through city streets, lanes and parks before finishing back at the bar for a drink and catch up.

Run The Lanes is hosted by FMG Project, a Brighton-based charity using fitness, coaching and opportunity to support disadvantaged young people. But FMG is more than just the meeting point. The run club actively raises awareness, rallies volunteers and fundraises for their work – giving every mile a little more meaning. If you’re looking for runs that give something back, this is your tribe.

True to its name, Run The Lanes thrives on collaboration. Expect regular partnerships with local independents – post-run pastries, coffees, tacos and surprise treats – alongside big-brand hook-ups featuring goodie bags, kit try-ons, expert advice, competitions and the occasional fancy-dress themed run. There’s always something extra in the mix.

High-energy, welcoming and genuinely uplifting, Run The Lanes is a soul-nourishing way to break up the week – proof that a run club can be about far more than the miles you log.
