There are no PBs, no watches being checked, and no one sprinting off the front. Instead, the focus is on moving together, talking freely, and finishing somewhere delicious.
Every Sunday at 9:30am, the group meets at Monument in Newcastle before jogging off at a slow, conversational pace towards a different bakery each week. The route is usually 5km, planned around the destination rather than the distance – because nothing beats a top croissant and coffee pairing.
The runs are relaxed and beginner-friendly. Runners drop in when it suits, wait at crossings, laugh mid-run and generally treat the whole thing more like a moving meet-up than a workout. It’s ideal if you like your runs more social than serious.
