Leeds Dock Running Club: Where Leeds Finds its Stride

Community 💛
  • Monday Move, 6:15pm: steady 5km to start the week
  • Wednesday Run, 6:15pm: 8-10km run or hill repeats, or intervals
  • Sunday Long Run, 10:30am: ideal for race and endurance training

Every city has its rhythm, and at Leeds Dock, it comes to life along the water’s edge. Multiple times each week, runners gather beneath the amphitheatre to share miles and smiles. Leeds Dock Running Club is a free community that runs for fitness, friendship, and the feeling of moving together through the city.

What began as a few runners meeting up has become one of Leeds’ most welcoming and consistent running communities. They meet several times a week – Monday evening socials, Wednesday tempo runs, Sunday shared training miles.

There’s something special about running here. The route winds past modern glass towers, old brick warehouses, and over calm water that reflects the skyline in motion. It’s a space where industrial heritage meets modern day – an inspiring place to move through.

As with all running clubs, it’s the people that make it. Leeds Dock Running Club is a mix of regulars and first-timers, marathoners and beginners, all united a love of running. No pressure, no finish-line focus – just shared effort, encouragement, and post-run socials.

The club has become a genuine community hub – a place where friendships form, confidence grows, and city life feels just a little more human. Whether you’re chasing endorphins, a regular running schedule, or just a better view of Leeds, you’ll find it here.
